Celebrate with us!
Join us on Friday, November 8, 2024, at Salisbury University's fourth-floor assembly hall in the Academic Commons to celebrate Wicomico Environmental Trust's 2024 efforts to champion a healthy environment for all!
The evening kicks off at 5:30 p.m. with a delicious catered buffet-style meal and a silent auction featuring exclusive items, with bids open only to attendees.
Our keynote speaker, Dr. David Curson, Director of Bird Conservation for Audubon in Maryland, will deliver an inspiring talk titled "The Marshes for Tomorrow Initiative." Dr. Curson's extensive work includes leading efforts to protect, manage, and monitor bird habitats across Maryland, notably partnering with Maryland DNR and the Maryland Coastal Bays Program to launch a successful floating island project to support endangered seabirds.
Special guest speakers Randy Taylor, Mayor of Salisbury and Josh Hastings, Wicomico County Council, District 4; Executive Director, Forever Maryland.
Awards will be presented to various individuals, businesses, volunteers, and students in recognition of their contributions to a more sustainable, environmentally equitable, and accessible Lower Shore environment.
Tickets are $75 each, and sponsorships are available at several levels. For more information, email Erin Stubbs at Erin@WicomicoEnvironment.org. To learn more visit www.WicomicoEnvironment.org.
Proceeds from the dinner and auction will support and expand WET’s advocacy, protection, and education initiatives for the community. We look forward to seeing you there!
